Dr.M. S. Priyamol presently serves as Asst. Regional Director , Indira Gandhi National Open University Regional Centre Trivandrum, Kerala, India. She received her Ph.D in Journalism and Mass Communication from University of Calicut, Kerala in 2006. She has cleared National Educational Testing (NET) conducted by University Grant Commission with research fellowship. She did her Post Graduation in Journalism and Mass Communication in 1998 from Mahathma Gandhi University, Kerala.

Before joining IGNOU she was a Senior Grade Officer in Indian Information Service (IIS). She has worked in various media units (Doordarshan, All India Radio, Directorate of Publication Division and Directorate of Field Publicity) under I& B Ministry, Govt. of India. She has also served as a lecturer in NSM Govt. College, Waynad, Kerala. Prior to that, she was working with Kerala Council for Historical Research, Trivandrum as a Research Assistant. She was also associated with State Gazetteers Department of Kerala in the compilation and editing of 14 District Gazetteers of Kerala.

Dr. Priyamol has 15 years of experience as a professional, teacher and researcher in the field of Journalism and Mass Communication. She has presented several papers in various seminars. To her credit she has published more than 20 articles in various official publications of Govt. of India, State Govt. of Kerala and other reputed periodicals. She has done the research work and script for five educational documentaries for State Institute of Educational Technology, Kerala.

Her areas of interest are Mass Communication and Social Development, Propaganda and Political Communication, Integrated Marketing Communication.
